Act of use the narrative to communicate messages, ideas, or experiences to an audience. It can be used in a variety of contexts, such as marketing, entertainment or to prototype a solution. An example of the last one, create a storytelling to explain your solution or to describe the user experience with you solution and identify any potential pain points or areas for improvement.

  • Identify and determine the objective you want to achieve by telling your story (explain your solution, how it works or how is the interaction with the user, etc.).
  • Identify and know your audience (users) to who you want to communicate.
  • Develop a plot that communicates through moments or actions a message to achieve your goal.
  • Include characters and identify the emotions they are feeling during the story.
  • Include important information or data to support the message.
  • Only, if necessary, include a call to action.
  • Once you have the storytelling, practice, and make sure it gets the message across.
  • Tell your storytelling to a group of users and get feedback and reactions.
  • Analyze if you achieved your objective and based on the feedback if necessary make modifications to the storytelling or the solution.
